Thermal — Privacy Policy

This policy explains what the Thermal mobile app and service (“Thermal”, “we”) collect and how it is used. By using Thermal you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Account information — your name, email address, phone number and login credentials.
• Unit telemetry — readings from your thermal-tank unit (temperatures, operating mode, energy and water usage) needed to show status and control the unit.
• Usage & diagnostics — basic app/crash diagnostics (via Firebase Crashlytics) to keep the service reliable.
• Push notification token — to deliver alerts; deleted on logout.

How we use it

To provide the service: show live status, send and confirm control commands, display usage and cost, deliver alerts, and process billing. We do not sell your data.

Payments

Payments are processed by PayFast. Card details are entered on PayFast’s secure pages and are never stored by Thermal. We retain only a payment reference and status.

Storage & security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Authentication tokens are stored in the device’s secure storage (Android Keystore / iOS Keychain). Access is restricted to your account.

We keep your data while your account is active. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information — see Delete your account.
